Notification Preferences

Notification Preferences lets you control how and when seeshare alerts you about scan results, security events, and account activity. This article covers the available email notification types, frequency options, in-app notification settings, quiet hours, and recommended configurations for different monitoring styles.

Notification Preferences

Configure how and when seeshare notifies you about security events, scan results, and account activity from Settings > Notifications.

Email Notification Types

Available email notifications include Scan Completed (when a scan finishes successfully), Critical Issues (immediate alert when critical vulnerabilities are found), Scan Failed (when a scan encounters an error), New Target Added (when a new domain is added to your account), New Vulnerability (when a new issue is discovered), Issue Fixed (when a previously detected vulnerability is resolved), High or Critical Only (notifications limited to high and critical severity findings), Weekly Summary (a weekly digest of all security activity), Monthly Report (a comprehensive monthly security report), and Target Health Changes (when a domain's health status changes, such as from healthy to warning).

Notification Frequency

Real-time sends notifications immediately as events occur. Daily Digest sends one summary email per day. Weekly Digest sends one summary email per week. Never disables all email notifications.

In-App Notifications

In-app options include browser push notifications for events, a notification badge on the sidebar icon, an audio alert for new notifications, and system-level desktop notifications.

Quiet Hours

To pause notifications during specific hours, enable Quiet Hours, set a start time and an end time, and notifications will be silenced during that window and delivered when quiet hours end.

Recommended Configurations

For active monitoring, set email frequency to real-time and enable Scan Completed, Critical Issues, Scan Failed, and New Vulnerability notifications, with browser notifications on.

For weekly review, set email frequency to Weekly Digest, enable the Weekly Summary and Critical Issues notifications, and turn browser notifications off.

For minimal interruption, set email frequency to Never or Weekly Digest, enable Critical Issues only, configure quiet hours for after-work periods, and check the Dashboard manually on your own schedule.
