Frequently Asked Questions

This FAQ covers the most common questions about seeshare, including who it's for, how scanning works, what the tools cover, how billing and cancellation work, and how to get support.

Beginner

General

seeshare is a security scanning platform that continuously monitors your websites for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and compliance issues using multiple industry-standard tools. It's designed for website owners, IT teams, security consultants, agencies, and MSPs. No technical knowledge is required — scan reports include plain-language explanations, business impact analysis, and step-by-step remediation guidance, and the AI Assistant can help explain technical findings.

Scanning

Weekly scans are recommended for production websites. Monthly is fine for low-traffic or static sites. Always scan after major deployments.

Passive scanning (Essential tier) has no noticeable performance impact. Active scanning (Professional tier) may cause a minor, temporary increase in server load — schedule it during off-peak hours if this is a concern.

seeshare currently scans publicly accessible websites only. Internal sites behind a VPN are not reachable by the scanners. Most CDN configurations work fine, but if your CDN is aggressively blocking requests you may need to whitelist seeshare's scanner IPs — contact support for the current IP ranges.

Per-domain plans (Essential and Professional) have no scan limits. Sales plans have monthly allocations of 30 scans (Sales) or 75 scans (Sales Pro).

Security & Privacy

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest, and scan credentials are encrypted separately. seeshare stores scan results and vulnerability findings but does not store full copies of your website content. Only authenticated users on your account can access your scan data — findings are never shared with third parties. Deleting a domain removes all associated scan data. Contact support to delete your entire account and all data.

Billing

The one-time scan ($499) lets you try the full Professional scanning suite on one domain without a subscription. Contact seeshare about beta access for extended trials. All major credit and debit cards are accepted through Stripe. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Annual subscriptions run for the full term. Annual plans are discounted compared to monthly billing. Contact support@seeshare.io for refund requests.

Tools & Coverage

Essential includes passive scanning across four tools. Professional adds active vulnerability testing, network scanning, host-level scanning, and compliance checks across seven tools total. See Plans & Pricing for the full comparison.

CVSS (Common Vulnerability Scoring System) is an industry standard for rating vulnerability severity on a 0–10 scale — higher scores mean more severe vulnerabilities. The OWASP Top 10 is a standard document listing the most critical web application security risks, and seeshare maps findings to OWASP categories where applicable.

Most tools — Nuclei, RetireJS, ZAP, Nmap, and OpenVAS — work on any website regardless of technology. The WordPress Scanner specifically targets WordPress sites and is simply skipped for non-WordPress sites.

Support
